Conversations and services

Conversations, projects, instructions, tasks and usage statistics are stored on your Mac. This version does not send them to Fixelio servers and has no remote activation, Mac-model collection or hardware identification by Fixelio.

Apple uses Foundation Models on your Mac. Choosing an external engine sends the necessary messages, context excerpts and tool results directly to that provider. File/app reading, screenshots and actions depend on your permissions. The provider’s terms, processing locations, retention and possible international transfers apply; consult its privacy policy before sending sensitive or third-party data. API access is distinct from consumer app subscriptions. Keys stay in Keychain; Codex uses a private local Nayelo session. Other apps’ tokens are not reused.

Optional iCloud Drive sync covers only the categories you choose. Accounts, keys and Mac permissions remain local. Apple sensitive-content transformation mode is off by default and its activation is local to this Mac.

Attached document text is saved in its conversation; excerpts may be sent to the chosen engine when you send a message. Conversation documents follow your iCloud sync choice. The last 1,000 actions are logged only on this Mac: action, engine, limited target, result and authorization, without file contents, commands or typed text. Optional locking uses macOS authentication; Nayelo receives no biometric fingerprint data. It hides access to the interface without adding file encryption. This setting and action history are not synced.

Update checks are optional. They request a public HTTPS feed without an account, device identifier, conversation or connection key. Hosting receives ordinary technical connection information, including the IP address; no Nayelo usage tracking is added. Downloads are optional. Technical diagnostics are exported to a file you choose, without messages or secrets, and are not sent automatically.

Personal statistics

Token counts, models, durations and usage charts are personal. They stay local unless you enable iCloud statistics sync. They contain no prompt text. Requested external reports are read directly from the provider and may include usage outside Nayelo. No usage, hardware or activation statistics are sent to Fixelio.

macOS widgets share only daily counters and language in a local container reserved for Nayelo and its extension. No conversation text, key or token is stored there. macOS manages their refresh frequency.

Retention and deletion

You control local retention through archives, Trash, confirmed permanent deletion and exports. With iCloud enabled, deletions sync according to your choices; Apple backups and delays are separate. External providers set their own retention. Upgrading removes only old local activation data and Fixelio statistics-consent settings; the licensing service, its records, managed backups and dedicated logs were removed on 15 October 2026. Support messages you choose to send are processed to answer you.

Sync uses a dedicated Nayelo iCloud container, with no Documents folder to select. Settings reset keeps local data and disables sync. After confirmation, full reset removes Nayelo’s persistent files on this Mac, its local connections and its iCloud sync files for the accessible account, including files in a previously configured sync folder. Close Nayelo on other Macs to prevent them uploading old data again. Propagation and Apple backups remain subject to Apple’s timing and tools. The app, external exports, personal files, system permissions and provider accounts are kept.

Your rights

For data processed by Fixelio, contact Contact@fixelio.fr to request access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection and, where applicable, portability. You may complain to the CNIL. Use Apple/iCloud and AI providers’ privacy tools for their processing. Roles and rights depend on the processing involved.

Voluntary support

The app sends no automatic diagnostics, logs, conversations or statistics to Fixelio. If you voluntarily contact support, Fixelio processes your contact details and message to answer you, based on its legitimate interest in providing support. Fixelio and its Microsoft 365 mail provider can access these exchanges. Fixelio’s privacy policy details recipients, transfers and retention: unanswered-follow-up enquiries are limited to three years after the last exchange, subject to legal obligations. Support contact is optional and does not automatically subscribe you to marketing.

Companion data

Companion memory is optional and stays on this Mac, separate from conversations and iCloud. You can edit or erase memories. The visual routine stays local even without Apple. Occasional suggestions use Apple locally only. Dialogue messages go to the model you select: Apple locally or an already connected service, under that service’s terms.
